i have a william limer born 1875 he married a sarah matthews she was born approx 1878 he appers twice on my tree but im not sure which is the correct william the mothers names could be either sarah vickerstaff born 1832 or ann frost born 1847 can anyone help me

all i no about him is that ther are 2 possible sets of parents either joseph limer and ann frost or john limer and sarah vickerstaff but i think that may bee him you have found

There are TWO William Limers, born in Yorkshire within about 2-3 years of each other


One was born in Wath on Dearne, and one was born in Stanley

It all comes down to .......... are you certain that YOUR William Limer, who married Sarah Ann Matthews, was born in Wath on Dearne


If so, then the parents are Joseph and Ann






BUT to be absolutely certain, you should buy the marriage certificate for William and Sarah ......... that will give you the names of the two fathers and their occupations.



THEN you find William's birth registration on www.freebmd.org.uk, using his father's name as reference. Buy that certificate
