I have found Joanna on census for 1851, 1861, 1871 and 1891. Can't find her in 1891. Any ideas please?

Well I've got as far as finding Edworth thanks to Google Maps. It's near Biggleswade, Central Beds.

Edworth is a village and civil parish located in the English county of Bedfordshire. It sits just off the Great North Road (A1) between Baldock and Biggleswade. Edworth lies close to the county border and to the village of Hinxworth. There are less than a hundred inhabitants in the village. The village contains the small St. George's Church.

I've found a Joanna Brooks born in West Brom in 1846 but I can't even find the entries you say you have. Maybe it's me.

George had a dau called Joanna, 1875born Edworth, so presumably neice of required Joanna

Interestingly. looking on the IGI, ''Brooks'' in Edworth also returns BRUX. maybe the spelling changed at some point

I'm ever so sorry everyone. I knew I shouldn't have posted anything - had an attack of vertigo (affects both vision and thinking processes!). It was Ruth I was looking for - all other info the same.

I didn't find Ruth on the 1901 census either because I think she died in 1893.
