Would someone please be able to confirm some information that James Carpenter and his family emigrated to Townsville, Queensland, Australia.

Looking at the census records and births of their children i would say between 1896.......1901

Now that is strange.........according to a tree on ancetsry, daughter Sylvia married and died in Australia...........so who did she travel with and i wonder why she was not with her parent's??

I thought Sylvia had been mistakenly transcribed as Lilian but it definitely says Lilian on the image. Can't see the original image on ancestry.

Same ship so they must have changed her name during the journey :D
