I wonder if anyone can help me. I have still not managed to get the death certificate, for William Swift, he was born I think on 30th Dec 1853 ,Ashton in Ashton in Makerfield, he was a plasterer, and in 1911 he was at 11 Sankey Street, Earlstown Lancashire, shown as a widower agw 58, with 3 daughters and a son at home, can anyone help me at all. Ok I actually went to see some graves in St James Church Haydock, I was told there was a William Swift in there buried in 1938, age 80 yrs, but they were not sure of the exact age. |

Hmm, it's tricky - there are quite a few William Swifts in Lancs and he may well have moved after 1911. |

Yes you are right about the informant, It was the Vicar that told me a William was in the grave, but his name was not on it. that is why it only said 80 perhaps, the last one looks interesting as it is 1937. Anne |
