Do you have this marriage cert which would list his father's name?

Is that your tree on Ancestry? If not, these are put as his parents

Thomas Joseph Walsh Mr
– 1930

Gloria Barbara P Walsh
1927 – 2005

Typical Ancestry tree Jan !

He simply cannot have parents who were born more than 10 years after 'he' was born :D

I agree re. the mother obviously - totally mad! - and to be homest there is no evidence given for any of this. The father would fit though where the info comes from goodness knows.

PM from Kathleen & my reply:

I Haven't posted anything on community board before but i think you have some information about my Father, if so i will be overjoyed ,could you please email and let me know. I am relativley new on genes reunited so hope i have done this correctly.

Hi Kathleen.
Just note it's better to put replies on your thread rather than sending messages, as it keeps all info. together and we can keep track! Unless to recent/personal obviously.
I don't have any info really apart from what has been put on your thread. It's not obvious what you do and do not know from what you have put.
I am going to put your message and my response on there for all to see - see you there!

This looks like a person in the tree on Ancestry.
Gloria Barbara P Chivers born 1927 - 2005
married Michael V Walsh at Cirencester 1946

Perhaps their children
Gwendoline M M Walsh 1947
Christopher R E Walsh 1952
mothers maiden name Chivers.
Christopher married Kathleen M Ryan 1973.

Hello Kathleen and welcome to the boards.

If you put the name you are researching plus the date of birth +/-2 years, you will see there are several members on this site who have similar details. You can contact the tree owner for further information.

I have had a pm from Kathleen and her father was Michael Vincent Walsh
born 1919 Ireland. Kathleen is trying to find details of Michael's parents.
A copy of his birth certificate would be a good start for Kathleen.
Perhaps she does not know how to apply to Ireland for this.
