Wisson (and all it's variants) is a common name in and around Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire and also in Everton and Tetworth, Sandy, Potton, Blunham, Moggerhanger, Tempsford, Beeston and Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. This whole area came under Beds, Cambs and Hunts with various county boundary changes. It was a very transient area where most people worked on the land. Don't forget that someone may have been born in one place but baptised in another especially if the mother came from another village. If you look at google maps or similar you will see just how near all the places I've mentioned are in relation to each other so explore not only Cambridgeshire records but also Huntingdonshire and Bedfordshire records. |

The marriage cert. will give you her father's name and occupation, and you can look for them on census when you have these details. |
