Reference my previous posts. Here are all facts which I hope you kind people can use to locate missing members.

John Seal b 1837 Soham
Ratford seal b 1840 Soham (brothers)
Elizabeth Clark b.1841 Godmanchester
Elizabeth Gilby b.1841 Soham
1858 John marries Elizabeth C.
1859 Ratford marries Elizabeth G.
1861 Census
John 24 Elizabeth 20 Eliza 2 Soham
Ratford 22 Elizabeth 19 Mary A 1 Soham
1871 Census
Elizabeth 32 Arthur 5 Sarah 1
Eliza 11 Newmarket Workhouse. Why?
Ratford 32 lodger in Brotton Yorks Miner. Dies in 1879.
At this point John, Elizabeth G and Mary A seem to disappear.

I can follow my ggmother Elizabeth Clark from then on including birth of my grandmother Sophia Seal 1878 and Elizabeth's marriage to John Darnell (lodger! in 1881) in 1884.
She eventually died in 1908 and Sophia married my gfather William Docking in 1897.

I would love to know what happened to 'missing' people including Eliza after 1871..

Paul,
I think you should add this summarised information to your previous thread, as otherwise people are still going to duplicate information.
You are not meant to have 2 threads running at the same time on the same people.

I wonder if both Mary A and Elizabeth could have died. John appears to have seperated from his wife prior to 1871 and disappeared

Any way of finding if he was a criminal?

I can't see any sign of the Criminal Registers on Ancestry of a John Seal that would fit.
