The best way to get accurate info is to purchase the marriage cert.........it will tell you his age and occupation, and the name and occupation of his father (if known)

william is my grandad and was the first husband of my nan Irene Preece (1907) , they had 2children Valerie Elaine 1930 and Glyndwr Aubrey 1932 and all lived in Wales. I am having difficulty finding him or any ancestors through census etc I have only been able to find nan and grandads wedding certificate. I know they divorced and nan and val and Glyn all moved to Doncaster.
I think that william may have had a brother called Richard as i remember a reference being made to 'uncle rick'
It is thought that williams mother may have emigrated to Australia
If any of this sounds familiar I would to hear from you or if you can offer any advice on how to expand my research as I am relatively new to this
Many thanks Hazel Johnson :-)
