	The word is See (not Sec). It means that you should look at births in the June qtr. of 1938 (or 1838 - depending on which century it was) as the birth was probably re-registered for some reason. Perhaps the parents were not married at the time of the first registration and so re-registered the birth after they subsequently married. Kath. x

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 43 Send Message	thank you Kathleen - it would seem that the parents were not married at the time of the birth which was first registered in 1st quarter of 1917 - the parents marriage was registered in may 1917. I have now found the re- registration of the birth - thank you Jo x
