HI everyone.
I have been trying to find a marriage for my 2nd Gt Grandarents and can't seem to find one anywhere?? William Talbot born 1829 Dunham on Trent and Mary Pickering born 1826 Bothamsall, Notts, they had 7 children between 1851 and 1865. Have searched freeBMD and familysearch. Anyone got any other ideas please?

Thanks for looking, its very frustrating when you can't find marriages, I have a few, pleanty of children and in those days people usually got married didn't they??

Its surprising how many didnt marry for one reason or the other, Sometimes it was because one of them was already married so as there was no divorce they just set up home togther as if they were married. Some even remarried bigamously in a different parish to avoid detection !!

Ah well, just have to accept things, just don't like leaving something "unfinished", I like births, deaths, children and marriages, but you can't always have them all.
