Find Ancestors

How can i find someone with only very little to go on? I am searching for William Bedford, husband of Sidney Bedford, all i know is that they married in july 1839, and in 1841 they lived in Staffordshire (West Bromwich) by 1851 he had died and his wife Sidney and children had moved to Derby, the trouble i have is in that 10 years i don't know if he died in Staffordshire or Derby, I have searched BMD on ancestry.co.uk, but there is quite a few William Bedford's. ANY IDEAS PLEASE, ALL WELCOME :-)

It wont help re the ages I think because for the 1840 most certs say of full age or minor.

This is them on the 1841 (just for our info) needs bearing in mid though that ages where rounded off to the nearest 5 years

Yes shirley that is the right family, i have is marriage cert with fathers name on it (james), but that is all i have, no idea where he was born though.

Cant see a death in Derbyshire before 1851.

Cant see one for West Bromwich either .trouble is the earllier GRO ref don't show ages. :-(

Wonder if Sidney moved back to Derbyshire (her birthplace) after is death, he's definately not on the 1851 census, so he could have died in the West Bromwich area.

I have 2 deaths for Staffordshire (Dudley Staffordshire 1847 and Wolverhampton Staffordshire 1844) there could be more during the 10 yr span, ony thing is i don't want to send for all death certs, could be expensive.

yes that is her in the years between 1841 and 1851 she lost her husband william and harriot, no more children after harriot.
the other 2 were lodgers

theres 3 in Staffordshire pre 1851.

none show the age of the GRO record,

Sidney appears not to have any more children after 1840 when she was approx 37 years old .

Cant see what happened to Harrot/Harriet.

Have you establshed when Harriot died and where

No I haven't looked for harriett at all, maybe i will do that next.
