For Mary's MS, you really need to see your grandad's b.rego, either as the rego or as copied onto his b.cert .

The GRO(I) index thru 1958 (excl N. Ireland post-partition) is available at:
https://www.familysearch.org/s/collection/list#page=1®ion=EUROPE

One can purchase certs (or cheaper still, the uncertified images of the rego) via:
http://www.groireland.ie/

The Irish 1901/1911 censuses are free at:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
[Not heard of any release dates for next census (=1926 in both Irelands)]

I have tried but found very little. I am going to try again right now as I may have over looked something.
The problem is all the names are so common in that part of Ireland its hard to narrow them down.
Thanks for the quick reply by the way.

Hi all,
My Grandfather was William Lyden b 1904 Galway d 1968 London. I have found him on the 1911 Irish census. He is with his parents William and Mary Lyden in Roundstone, Galway, Ireland. William and Mary are also on the 1901 census giving william's age as 36.
I am really intrested in finding Mary's maiden name and also Williams Parents but am new to all this and finding it a little tricky.
Really gratefull for any advice or information anyone can offer me.
Thanks very much.
