The name is given in the funeral report ..

Now.. is it possible that Edith could be a first wife and died - maybe he just lived with 2nd wife and didnt marry?

If she was just living with him, but claimed married, it would be reported in the papers as whatever she told them. She could then revert back to her previous name, or go on to marry or live with someone else under a different name.

I have searched, too, and cannot find a marriage for him and Bella.

Interestingly, I have just discovered that a relative was married, although I had thought her to be unmarried all her life; her husband was with a different "wife" on a census. My relative's will describes her as a married woman but commonly known as ...... ...... spinster.
