I received the certificate today for a poss. marriage for Elizabeth Wallace in 1911 but not correct one unfortunately.

I will send for the other from 1915 and hope it is the right one.

Hi,
According to the Yorkshire bmd site Elizabeth Wallace married Michael J SHIRLEY Sculcoates registry office their ref is SRO 91/16. The GRO ref is AMJ 9d/585 and that does say Stirley. She is the only Elizabeth Wallace listed in Hull in the right time frame. You will have to buy the certificate from either office to be sure.

Found her in 1901 and 1911 census, then a brick wall.
She may have married a John Shirley/Shurley/Stirley???
She was the daughter of Robert Wallace and Eliza Ann Fisher.

Have found a death in 1920 of Elizabeth Stirley, but no way of verifying if this is her.

Any help gratefully received!
