How can I find out if any one in my family was a Gypsy, I have always been told that Mary Baldwin,s family came from Ireland, and I have never been able to really find out where her mother Ann circa 1776 or her father William Baldwin circa 1776 came from, but I have always been told that she was a Gypsy, and I can remember walking with my grandmother when a child down Regent Road in Yarmouth, and walking past a lady who was a Gypsy and had a fortune telling booth there, and being told that she was her cousin, and being a child never asked any questions, the family were dark with black hair black eyes and skin tone like a Gypsy, this all being on the Stone and Feltham side of the family and we believe on Mary,s mother,s side. all the rest of us being blue eyed blond and fair skinned |
