I was wondering if anyone had info about my grandad Robert(Bob). I know he lived in Kirkstall near Leeds with my grandma Lettie Robinson Gillespie in the 50's & 60's.I know they both died in the 60's. I have the 1901 & 1911 Census. I don't know the names of his parents or siblings & hoped there were some relatives with GR.If you are out there, please could you share with me.
Thanks Christine

Thanks David & jax for your info.
Robert Gillespie 1894
I don't think Middlesbrough is relevant as I have been led to think Robert's father could have been from Ireland & Robert born in Lancashire.I found a 1901 census entry from Lancashire with the parents Robert & Catherine from Ireland |& Scotland. Then 1911 census Robert senior wasn't on there.
The death cert seems ok for the time & place for Robert as 1968. Lettie's death cert has a different # to the one I got.Mine is 2c #310, not 2c #328.They weren't married so no info from a cert.
Is there anywhere the parents are listed on any records other than the birth cert. Do they only list the informant on the death cert & not the parents or children? We are spoilt in Australia with it all on them.
I am going to England in a few weeks & intend to go to Leeds, but this will only give me later life info.I think I need to have a starting point to go somewhere else, unless you can advise me of a central place.
Any clues would be appreciated.
Regards Christine
