Am confused! Two siblings on my tree have the same birth year according to the 1841 census. One is Joseph Howarth and the other his sister Jane. In the 1841 census Joseph is married to Mary Ann, and they have 3 children-Joseph aged 6, Mary 5 and James 2. Jane is now Heeley having married John Heeley in Dudley, Staffordshire on the 26/01/40 and they have 3 children Ann Howarth (illegitimate, born 1833), Elizabeth (1843) and Margaret (1846) both Heeley. On Genes site, no record of either on 1851 census and I am not able to access baptism records which presumably would clarify birth years. Both were born in Hindley, Lancashire. I suppose they could have been twins but wouldn't that have been unusual in the early 1800's? Any help/advice appreciated.
