I have been trying to find information about my great granddad Albert Herbert Wilson he was born 1866 in nottingham, on his wedding certificate his fathers name was Thomas wilson. I don't think that he was registered and cannot find a baptism/christening for him. I have been looking for a long time and hope someone might be able to help me.

Civil Registration began in 1837 but it was not compulsory until 1875ish so the birth might not have been registered
