Good Evening
Would anybody please be able to put me on the correct track of trying to trace or look into tracing the family of James Cornell. James born in 1953 and was adopted shortly after. He was taken to York Road in Southend, Essex where his adoptive parents brought him up as there own.
It has always been his aim to trace his real parents mother thought to have been Marjorie Mabel Cornell of Thaxted.
Unfortunately James ( adoptive name Terence) died in 2008 and I am now helping his daughter to try to complete this honour to her Dad.
Understanbly this is a touchy subject of which i know very little about.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone would be just able to advise the correct way to undertake this emotional task.

It's possible that Ronald wasn't his father seeing as he was an only child born 13 years after the marriage.

There is also three people with Marjorie in their tree if you wish to try and contact them one has the correct year of birth but I cannot see any others with that name born so the other two may be her too

Possible she married an Anderson in 1963.

Looks like Ronald died in 1977.
