Thank you, I have a record off the IGI showing Richard as Marrying Martha Lane which ties in nice with the William an Elizabeth Lane link. is there anyway I can link Benjamin to Martha Paget Nee Lane ??, that sould hopefully then box this one off, sorry about my slow responses but I am a ham fisted, one finger typer....
Thanks

Yes, that is definitely my Ben, this is about as far as I have got and have linked in with another member who is stuck in exactly the same position. Richard seems to be a problem ancestor for me.
Thanks

Richard Bagger Paggett's father was called Benjamin (according to the IGI) so there is a good chance he would have called a son that he had Benjamin after his father so it does look like a possibility.

Good evening, I have hit yet another brick wall and was hoping one of you gurus out there could assist me. My descendant, Benjamin Pagett, married Emma Hayward on November 3rd 1845 aged 16 in Wellington Salop. Later in life he married Elizabeth Edge on May 28th 1860 aged 33 in Donnington wood Salop, so I can only assume he was born sometime between 1827 and 1829 ?? On both marriage certificates, his fathers name is down as Richard. In all my searches, I cannot locate a Benjamin Paget whos father is called Richard anywhere around them dates. With the help of one kind member, I did find a record for Richard Bagger Pagett who is from a similar time, but cannot find that definitive link between the two. If there is anyone out ther who can help me on this it would be most appreciated, as I have already spent two days in Shropshire archives with no success. Thanks in advance. Gavin :-S
