Hi can any one help please.
Ada Lee was born in sheffield 1885 baptized 9th sep 1885.she married Ernest Thompson born 1881 and married 1906 Sheffield.i have her parents John Lee and Mary which i found on family search it said John was born Telsmoor Sheffield could this be her parents as i dont have a wedding certificate,i then found on family search Daniel Lee and Ann barrett from Sheffield.with son John born 1851 do you think this might be the family i am looking for,hope you can help thanks Janette.

BUT......and it's BIG but.......you don't know whether the baptism relates to the woman who married Thompson.

ONLY her marriage cert will give you info which is accurate enough to use as a basis for further research

Thre are several Ada Lees on 1901 census who could fit the bill................

On your 1911 census i think it is correct i do have ada married to Ernest Thompson but i have children Annie born 1914 and Lilian born 1915 sheffield

Janette, there are two types of records on family search, those extracted from parish records and those submitted by members or the LDS church.

If the record is extracted then it is correct however if it is submitted then it may be someone's best guess or they may have looked at the parish records themselves and submitted their findings but either way there is no way of telling so additional proof is required
