Thanks you are right I will need to order some certificates on the daws family

lancashireAnn

lancashireAnn Report 11 Jun 2011 22:09

you really need the marriage certificate of Thomas & Jemima to give Thomas's father and occupation. It might also give a more accurate age for thomas as it seems to vary - you say 1826 but 1881 (the only one I can view) says c1830

Marriages Sep 1857 (>99%)
>>>>Daws Thomas Kendal 10b 703
Waterhouse Jane Kendal 10b 703
Willan Robert Kendal 10b 703
>>>>Young Jemima Kendal 10b 703

You are right I do have John and Catherine in my tree

lancashireAnn

lancashireAnn Report 10 Jun 2011 16:56

bapisms of children of Thomas & Jemima (nee Young)

1. JOHN DAWES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 20 OCT 1861 Burneside, Westmorland, England

2. CATHERINE WHITESIDE DAWES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 07 MAY 1865 Burneside, Westmorland, England

I am assuming you have these but just stating them as perhaps a way of tracing backwards
