Wondering if anyone has any information on my Great grandmother born Margaret A Bailey later Halliday who was born 1911 in Overton on Dee Flinshire she is registered as adopted in the 1911 census by the Halliday family in Crewe Cheshire. Would like to trace her birth parents. Thank You. Marie.

As per AOGG post....Not saying these are not the parents but I think birth cert is needed If this is her mother why travel to have the child and she was married?? So no I am not convinced at the moment

Thankyou for all your info a few things for me to think about. The other family in Crewe is interesting with links to Wrexam. I think obtaining the birth certificate will be the next step although maybe it will be unlikely a father will be registered.
