Widower Solomon Reeve b1805 Aston Clinton Bucks England d Oct.1868 Aston Clinton. This is where we loose his two children George 1845 and Eliza 1849.Both children born same area.

Thanks for reply.We have looked at the Census 1851 and 1861 but cant understand why the children do not show up any where in the next census.

Many thanks for help will try to follow this port arrival up and see if we can work any thing out from it. Any thoughts on Eliza ?

If Eliza is alive and in this country she is probably married by 1871.
If she went as a servant (to London), and married out of district, and then was inaccurately recorded for birthplace in the census, she could be anywhere under any name.

You're welcome but I can't be 100% sure it is the same Eliza but it is looking good. Charles Cutler was born c1850 in Tring his parents were James and Elizabeth. I can't find Charles, Eliza or Arthur after 1881!

If Eliza's marriage is not until 1875, she will still be under her maiden name in 1871.
Therefore, where is she?
Also, age in 1881 for married Eliza is slightly out (she should be 33) - which could be because of age of husband, but worth thinking about.

1911 census and still at the same address. Unfortunately Charles never filled in the years married and number of children part of the census. I guess as the address was the same in 1911 as 1881 that they were also there in 1891 and 1901 but I can't find them at the moment.
