Hello, I am trying to trace any relatives of William Hawkins. He married Mary Ann. They came to Plymouth around 1860. Children, William 1833, Anna Matilda 1840, Hugo Francis 1842. William snr was a ships carpenter, Willaim son was a seaman injured in the 2nd Opium Wars and became a gunnery trainer on the shore based "ships" in Plymouth. Hugo, known as Francis was ships cook on HMS Himalaya as well as Victory I. Anna married a Met Police Officer and lived in Plymouth area. Francis ended up in Portsea. |

The Ancestry trees from what I can see are "public" and I would guess they are mine! So, not a lot of use ... |
