any whitfields out there that can help me get back beyond 1793.i have traced my family back to henry whitfield 1798 and sarah lester 1793 they married i believe in farnworth on 28th july 1816, now i seem to have come to a block if i,m on the right track they had three children henry ,james and jane so if theres anybody out there that can shed a little more light on this i would be most grateful my treee comes forward to my grandfather mathew born in 1894 the son of mathew whitfield and elizabeth birchalle was a flatboat man <3

I would suggest you put the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green box) to see if anyone else on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.


As you are so far back with your family, I imagine you have checked the IGI and all parish registers?

Am intrigued by the father's occupation as Pilot in 1795.
