Hi i am trying to trace a michael egan who was born in ireland about 1847 he was married in roscommon in 1861 and then i have found him on the 1881 census in bradford he had a daughter bridget ann who was born in bradford in 1869 so he should be on a 1871 census but am afraid i just cant find him can any one help many thanks his wifes name was honorah egan

Have you checked out the family spelt as EYAN ?

Probably not as wrong occupation for father

Important to know that the 1871 census has been corrected by an Ancestry user who can be contacted through that site. The user has not given any indication of whether they are related, though.

The image actually says "Hagan", which would be a phonetic misspelling of "Egan", it seems.
