Find Ancestors

Hi I am trying to find a death in Australia in 1891
The person i am trying to find is a John Archer b 1836 Norfolk, he went with his son ( also a John) in 1889 he intended to return but died in Sydney in 1891, i have found a John Archer in the Australia death indexes on An_____y .au but dont have access to it
His wife was a Ensley Archer (nee Bailey)
If all else fails does any one know of any good ancestry sites in Australia, i have joined one but in has not a lot of acvtivity on it.

Have you seen the New South Wales BMD site?
It gives the following details:
6844/1891
Archer
John
Father's name - James
Mother's name - Ann
REgistration district - Grenfell.

No exact date unless you order the certificate.

there is a marriage for his wife Ensley M Archer ... in fact there are two of them ! to the same person ... I will let you do that search as you may prefer to see the details there yourself


you can also find the death of son John if you search for deaths for the name Archer with a mother named Ensley.

Ensley's second husband was a Mr Fowler and there is also a death for an Ensley Fowler who seems to have lived to a very old age ...

Is Ann his Wife?
If so its not the John Archer i am lookig for as his wife was Ensley and she was still here in the uk

sorry no Ann is his mother, check what me and Beverley posted, we just copied it differently

the posts were coming fast so as you now see it does seem to be the right person, do go and search around at those sites !
