I have found out that there were Mac Nabbs in Newport Mayo Ireland 1800 as it was a rare name there, but then I was told by the Local history centre they would help for a fee of 90 euros.after telling me these facts.
Any idea how to move forward as I do not have that kind of money.
S x :-) <3

Susan, I'd already given you the information about Maria and John's marriage, as per the details Maura has given above, on your previous McNabb thread.

According to census information previously supplied, both your John Holden and his father William were born in Staverton Northants, ENGLAND.

I said on that thread I couldn't guarantee that this marriage was not between an Irish John Holden and his sweetheart, but I think there was a good chance they were YOUR English John Holden, soldier and Maria, I didn't suggest YOUR John Holden was Irish!

That is why I strongly suggested you get the cert if you were serious about finding out more about Maria.

I have already replied to your last pm , and said there that a copy of the marriage info would cost 6 or 10 euros depending on the format you chose.

Or you can check out the site Maura mentioned and pay to view the full record there, which might be simpler for you, and would only cost 5 euros.
