have just come across your search re Gwenllian Lloyd (please bear with me as I am new to this)
My G'Father ,Evan Thomas Evans, married Elizabeth Anne Lloyd b1869 d 1925 m 1894 Cardiff.This could be Lizzie Ann (I believe her father was Samuel Lloyd) she had a daughter Gwenllian Lloyd. I have no knowledge of her life prior to this but there are a lot of coincidences followig.
My G'Father was born 1872-1957 in Cardiganshire he was a merchant sailor later a miner in the Rhondda he lived Conway Road Treorchy. Gwenllian Had 7 or 8 children Bryn,Myra,Alwyn,Cyril,Lance,Beryl & Orville a lot of similar names. My G'Father had a brother David William Evans

So it looks like ALWYN was Welsh by birth................but I'm lost as to what the surname might have been..............

Liverpool and S Wales are far-removed from Horden...........
