Can anyone tell me how i can find a birth for my grandfather when i dont know when he was born or where?!!!! His name was David John Littler and he married Elizabeth Wharton in 1955 in Chester. The marriage cert says he was 26 when he was married so was possibly born in 1929. His father is listed as being Thomas Littler who was deceased at the time of the wedding.

I have looked through numerous birth records and cant find David anywhere.

Can anyone suggest where i go next?

Thanks

Kelly

What was the address on the marriage cert please ? Were the witnesses any of the Littler family and what were the occupations of the Groom and his father?

I am not finding a birth to match that death anywhere at the moment..

The death cert might give birthplace - certainly there will be a place for this to be entered. Depends on what the informant knew of course!
