Find Ancestors

Trying to find a John Longbottom's birth details. He was born about 1800,

possibly Yorkshire.

He married a Mary Watson Kersley on 5th Dec.1820, at Rothwell, Leeds.

They had a daughter Isabella.

I have found several 'possible' baptisms for him - do you have any further info to pin down the correct one?

Do you have him on any census for reference?

When and where was daughter Isabella born?

The only thing I have got is that Isabella was born at Rothwell, Leeds before 5th Oct 1823

Just come across this:

1851 census H.O. 107/2330

John Longbottom 38 years? born Holbeck.

Could be: John Longbottom aged 58 years, wife Mary 69 years.seems a bit of an age gap?

I guess you got Isabella's christening from the IGI. These seem to be siblings:-

How on earth did they get the name Hom (or Joseph Hom) from Longbottom?

EDIT - after looking at the original image I can see that it would be possible to think it was Joseph Hom (it's the way the "y's" and "g's" are written!!
