Could any kind person please find Bartholomew Smith - b. 1884 Wanstead (Leytonstone), Essex - in the 1911 census for me? Last seen in the 1901 aged 16 years old, working as a Butcher's Assistant living in Cobbold Road, Leytonstone, Essex. Other household members may also be of interest. Many thanks!

I can't find him anywhere.

I can only see one Bartholomew Smith born at the right time and he is in Yorkshire and says he was born there.

Maddie, your posts are intriguing ... it's known that Bartholomew's elder brother had emigrated to Canada in 1912 - and with the Cobbold Road address (where his mother Susan lived until her death in 1926) on the 1925 incoming list, it's a dead cert that it's him. How interesting ...
Are you able to access the details of the other Smiths on outgoing 1925 list? In my notes for Bartholomew I have the following:

"Bartholomew ("Barty") SMITH:... married Grace COULDEN in the June Q of 1917 in West Ham District, Essex; (Grace was) born Bet. Apr - Jun 1889 in West Ham District, Essex. No children born to SMITH & COULDEN after 1917 have been found at the FreeBMD website. Did they move to Canada?"
