Find Ancestors

Hi all,

I'm looking for any further information regarding a relative who went to Australia.
He was Robert Maxwell b 1890 married to Lizzie (Elizabeth I presume).
They were from Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland.
They went to Australia, (Melbourne I think). I guess post say 1910 if they were married. Not sure about children then.
Lizzie died in Australia 1964. Her son then lived 34 Hood St, North Balwyn,
Melbourne.
Can they be found on passenger lists, a death record for Lizzie or the name of the Maxwell son on elecetion rolls in 1964?
I don't have any more info.
Hopefully some record of them is out there.

Australian bdm's are listed and indexe'd by States and Territory's

To find a death and registration number for Lizzie ( Elizabeth ) MAXWELL you would need to suppy which state in Australia she died in.( if known )

You seem to have a year ( 1964? )...but you also need to supply which part/state of Australia you got your imformation so that anyone trying to help you can search that particular area of our Country.

NSW....VICTORIA....SOUTH AUSTRALIA....WESTERN AUSTRALIA......TASMANIA....QUEENSLAND...ect.

Australian deaths also lists "parents names" of the deceased to our Index's ( if known ).

According to Victorian death index's there is no death listed for a Elizabeh MAXWELL in 1964 in Melbourne, or the state of Victoria in general.

If you are now trying to find the daughters of Jack and Joan MAXWELL ( Diane and Mernita ) listed in the Herald Sun listed by Helen, then these fall under possible "Living Relatives" and information regarding them and there whereabouts falls under the "Australian Privacy Law act"

Births ( Searchable on Index ) for Victoria stop at 1921
Marriages at 1942
Deaths at 1985

As these two daughters are most likely married, and have children of their own.......a marriage surname wont be accessible to the general public via the internet.

If you do eventually find the married surnames, you could try the Australian "White Pages Directory" for Melbourne.
