Have you got the marrige cert because that will give his age at marriage and his fathers name .if known.

We have a George Ridgway 1922-57 .His father was also called George, but we have little information about his father except that he Married Frances Walker At Chorlton in 1922. Frances was born in 1898. She was 3 in the 1901 Census.
