Births 1876 Staffordshire

I have searched the Staffordshire BMD for the birth of my grandfather James Richards born Rugeley 1876. He’s the son of William Richards and Edith Preston. It would seem James has been omitted from this birth list. Could someone please advise me where else I might look his birth date up, or the qtr in which he was born? Thank you

Peter, have just checked Freebmd. Rugeley came under Lichfield between 1837-1974.

There is a James Victor H Richards reg. Lichfield 2nd quarter of 1876.

Possibly this is your grandfather.

Above birth is 6b 519 in Lichfield Jun q 1876

Researching:
