It also states that he was previously in the Lancashire Fusileers reg no. 8730. There may be some info from what remains of the regiment. |

Thank you Chris & Eileen....I never did manage to find a marriage for him,which was frustrating ,as he was the only male left in the smith family of seventeen children....and the one left to produce a heir....as all other male smiths died young..... |
