on a long rumage through all my B M D certificates which i have acquired since 1905,i came across the birth certificate of my gt gran Ann Smith, her birth was registered in the first quater of 1880 in salford,VOL 8D...PAGE 140.....Ann was one of seventeen children as as i had already dicovered one set of twins....i just thought i would check to see if Ann was a twin, well, there is no Ann registered with these page details, but there is a Ann smith also registered in the first quater of 1880 with a twin named william,so what has happened to my Anns details :-S

Is this the entry you mean ?

All these births share the same page number ( 142 not 140 ) but with a name like Smith, they could possibly be unrelated.
