Could someone please look up the above ( born 1860 in Sydney Australia) in the 1911 for me to see if his wife was called Emily and where and when she was born. They would have been in the Sheffield area

This was his second marriage in 1908. I don't understand the date after Emily as I have the marriage as 1908 but it says they had been married 29 years and she was 55.

In the 1881 and 1901 he is married to Mary E Fowler and I have her death in 1907 in Ecclesall Bierlow Mary Elizabeth Fowler.
You say they had 2 children but only Hilda is mentioned. There was also a brother Frank - he is not there?

Sorry Margaret, I was away for a while. I have no idea why they said they have been married that long. They also, technically, did not have 2 children as it was Mary E who had the children not Emily.
Did he marry Mary 29 years before possibly? Did he maybe think he was being asked when he first got married? I'm afraid I have no idea for certain.
Here is Frank in 1911. He had been married less than a year and had no children.

Whilst you are around could you possibly look up in the 1911 ROBERT SCOTT HOLMES born 1868 in Wadsley Yorkshire please. He should be around the Norfolk area and married to Ellen children Henry Favil S Holmes, Cecily Mary Holmes and Joyce Maud.

I have been searching all evening but they seem to have disapeared and I don't have access to the 1911.
