Hi Barbara,

Thanks again. I couldn't find a death either.

I suppose I can't assume they came to England with their parents. Maybe a glance at the 1851 census as James and Mary were born C 1846, 1849 respectively.

I don't have any other info other than that on the certificate.

I can see a James Duffy bn 1846 living in Prescot on the 1871 Census? Was he married to someone else? Is that why you asked?

I looked to see if I could see her father---but no. And I can't find James either. (Had he been married before ?)

Hi all,

Just received a marriage cert for James Duffy aged 26 and Mary Bulger aged 22 in Dec 1872 @ Blackbrook Chapel, Parr, Prescot, Lancashire. Residence at time of marriage, Haydock, Lancashire for both. Fathers names stated: John Duffy and Thomas Bulger respectively.

All born in Ireland.

Please could someone advise if any of the four people mentioned above are shown on the 1871/61 census? Possibly in the Prescot area?
