PricklyHolly - how do you get to see what's on a certificate on Ancestry? I thought you had to buy one to see what's on it?

The 1911 census is the correct family.

Lyndsey - I realised it was a private message eventually, but it didn't show up for ages.

Yes, I think Williamina was Scottish.

PricklyHolly - the London Veals are incorrect, I've got his parents and the 4 generations prior to that. We're all from Gloucestershire originally, but Thomas Henry's dad moved to Northampton. Oddly enough, that's where my husband comes from! The other odd thing is that we've lived in West Sussex for 18 years and our son was born in Crawley.

Thank you all, again, for your help.

I think she was born in Scotland.

Can't see a birth for Williamina Highfield.

Was Highfield not her maiden name ?

Wow - that was fast! Thank you so much for your help. I think being unemployed makes you brain dead as I'd completely forgotten about freebmd.

Lyndsey - what does 'pm d' mean?

Please may I ask for some help?

Due the the wonderful world of unemployment I haven't been able to renew my subscription to Ancestry.

I've found that my Great Grand Uncle, Thomas Henry Veal, married a Williamina Highfield in Northamptonshire but I can't see when. Also, I have found a death of a Williamina Veal in 2004 in West Sussex but, again, I can't see the finer detail.

Anyone out there willing to have a look for me? Many thanks in advance.
