I wish I could say I could trace my family to The Charles Dickens, but unfortunately I cannot. Things would be so much easier if it was.
We seem to be a family of Lic.vic's/publicans rather than litery people.

Fanny was born Dariy Ayreshire,,,,,as were the children--- 1891 census,,,,,

Charles parents are Thomas Dickens(may also be spelt Dickins)
and Emma(nee Goodman)

Siblings include, Esther Elizabeth, Thomas, John, George, Emma, Mary, and Joseph.
I have follow on history for all except Charles and John
So the answer to your question Iainie is no, this is not the correct family

Hi, I am trying to find Charles Dickens born 1862 Chilvers Coton, Warwickshire. Rumour has he moved to Scotland and married a scottish lass. Would like to know if there is any truth in it.
