Mum's aunt fled from Africa during the Boer War and stayed 2/3 years in the UK - firstly in/near London then to Scotland (perhaps Elgin or Lossiemouth). She was Mary Ann Spence (b 1864, South Shiels/Jarrow) with children Alice (b1887, Strand London), William (b1888, Scotland), John (b1890 Elgin), Mabel (b1892, SouthAfrica), Florence 1895 SA, Iris 1900 SA

Help appreciated - William the husband was I believe still in South Africa but was Florence Brooke (my nan) with them?
