Find Ancestors

Hello.

I have found a marriage on FreeBMD in Dec 1856 for Sarah Ann Field to either Charles Greenhood or John Moore. I am unable to clarify which man she married as I can't find anything in the next census that helps.
On Free BMD there is a child born in Ampthill Mar 1857 Matilda Greenhood and also a death for a Sarah Greenhood Ampthill 1863 so I'm wondering if all three entries tie in.
Is there anyone out there who could help me solve this one please?

Sarah Ann Field was born Moulsoe Bucks in 1838/9.

It would make things easier if we knew when and where Sarah was born.

The only other census on which he appears is 1841

Thats quite likely Flick as Cranfield is the next village along from Moulsoe.

Until, and unless, you get the marriage cert, there isn't any way of knowing whether the 1856 marriage is for the Sarah you are researching.........

Is it me or does he dissappear after 1851?

It looks like I've another certificate to add to my 'need to get' list. I find it odd that i can find no record of the child or possible husband in later records either and wondered whether I was missing something obvious. I hate these dead ends!!!!

No further information on Matilda Greenhood on free bmd.

To anyone who helped with this query. Just a quick update!

I found both Charles and Matilda listed in a tree on Ancestry. They appear to have emigrated to Illinois America where Charles remarried and Matilda went on to marry later in life. I haven't yet been able to find out on which ship they left England or if Matilda had any children who would be part of the family lineage. :-D
