Margaret, you could have easily found the family in 1841 on Ancestry by just entering first name Phoebe, birth year 1840, living in Sheffield then look at the original.

Also if you google "john eyre pearson" there's lots of info out there.

Looks like John declared bankruptcy:

MARTIN JOHN WEST, Esq. one of Her Majesty's
Commissioners authorized to act under a Fiat in
Bankruptcy, bearing date the 29th day of March 1843,
awarded and issued forth against John Eyre Pearson, of
Sheffield, in the county of York, Wine and Spirit Merchant,
Dealer and Chapman, will sit on the 20th day of November
next, at twelve at noon precisely, at the Leeds District Court
of Bankruptcy, in the Council-hall, Sheffield, to make a Dividend
of the estate and effects of the said bankrupt; when
and where the creditors, who have not already proved
their debts, are to come prepared to prove the same, or they
•will be excluded the benefit of the said Dividend. And
all claims not then proved will be disallowed.

Original has his name as John Eyre Pearson, he's a wine merchant. All born in county except Sarah.

I wonder if someone could look up this family for me in the 1841 census and have more luck than me

The children appear in the 1851 census with Charles as the head of the family and no parents.

My relative is Phoebe and I can trace her from 1851 but not before and none of them seem to be in the births for Sheffield.
I have looked on this site and ancestry where I also have a tree.
