Hi I'm trying to trace the Gibbs side of my family and have got back as far as George Gibbs born 1829 in Frome Somerset, I know he married in 1850 to a Ann Redford in Lyndhurst, and was wondering if anyone can help finding his immediate family(mother/father and brothers/sisters), I've had no joy, but I'm sure there's someone out there with info.

Hello Sean, there's quite a few George Gibbs in Somerset around that time.

To be really sure you're tracing the right line you need to order a copy of his marriage certificate, which should give you his father's details. It's so easy to pick the wrong match on census otherwise.

Where did you get his marriage details from, as I'm not finding anything matching at first pass?
