	His birth may not have been registered..........your best bet is to obtain his marriage cert Not sure why you looked in 1841 and 1851.....Thomas would not be on a census before 1861 HOWEVER...from LANCSBMD..................... Lancashire Birth indexes for the years: 1858 Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Mother's Maiden Name Reference ASPDEN Thomas Whalley Preston HOLDEN WH/5/47 Always check Lancsbmd for bmd's for the County.........

	Their marriage cert should name his father .if known.

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 112 Send Message	I have found Thomas Aspden b.1859, A Stone Mason from Whalley, Lancashire married to Catherine b 1862 d 1947 born in Baschurch Shropshire. I want to find Thomas' Father and Mother. I looked on the 1841 and 1851 census but nothing came up for Thomas Aspden. I looked on the Free BMD but there were loads of Thomas Aspdens born in Blackburn, which Whalley would come under.Could anyone help me please, I would be very grateful. Regards Dorothy
