I thought GI brides had actually married here before the end of the War.
This is an interesting website and seems to have searchable data.Think you need to find her marraige first though.

If you cant find a marriage it suggests that she didnt marry in the UK so may not technically have been a GI bride

Sorry no. She was actually born in Thorne Yorks not Hull. I remember her coming to visit in the late 50's with her fur coat and big car she had hired i think she came across on the Queen Mary.

I have not found a marriage for her, her name was Elsie Major born 1908 Kingston upon Hull.

You would need to find her marriage cert for her hubbys name.
