Can anyone find any information about this man please?
He was born in Worcestershire in 1820 +/- 5 years.
His son, William James, married Eliza Maskell in 1861 and Richard's profession was given as Engine Driver on the marriage certificate.

The district Fareham is in the county of Hampshire.

I am wondering about the name "Lemm"...not very English is it?

There are a few Lemms/Lems around but I can't find a trace of a Richard in Worcestershire. I am wondering if he was born with another name entirely? Of course Lemm is just asking to be mis-transcribed!

Thank you everyone for your help. I have looked at the censuses but there are whole chunks missing from the family. They don't show up at all in 1871 but we know they were there before and after.
The name Lemm (sometimes with only 1 m) originated in the Balkans I understand but I guess the family moved to Britain in the 1400/1500s.

William was born in 1840 as he was 21 in 1861. The witnesses to the marriage were Sarah and Richard Watkins. Eliza, William's spouse is shown as Maskell but I think her mother re-married so Richard Watkins was her step-father. Eliza's family came from Leominster, Herefordshire.

Any suggestions anyone?
