It could be that Edward was his middle name or simply one he chose to use as Flick has said. I had a relative I located where he spent a number of years flitting between Robert, Robert Arthur, Arthur and then finally (?) Harry! No idea why, perhaps he had something to hide - lol

It may simply be that he preferred the name Edward...............

Unfortunately, his birth does not seem to have been registered.......and there's no sign of a baptsim on the LDS sites.

Do you have his death reg'n info?

Have you found father & son together on a census?

hi everyone can anyone solve my mystery please
thomas lewis my gt gt grand father was married to mary ann woods nov 1853 has 5 children then dies jan 1895
mary ann then marries william moss in july 1896
but on the census 1901 he is shown as edward(his fathers name) i know its them as they are shown with one of thomas's children arthur lewis and a grand child agnes march lewis at tedstone delamare hereford
any help would be great thanks
